This site asks for very little, and it is worth saying plainly what happens to the little it asks for.

What we collect

When you enter the Companionship Suite we ask for your first name, your last name, and your email address. Your last name is optional. We do not ask for a phone number, a postal address, or a date of birth.

When you write to Julie through the contact form we collect your name, your email address, the subject you chose, and your message.

When you sign up for updates in the footer we collect your email address only.

Why we ask

Your email address is how the Suite knows who is sitting with it, and how Julie writes to you if you have said she may.

Entering the Suite and agreeing to hear from Julie are two separate things. You can enter the Suite without agreeing to the letters, and the checkbox on the form is what records the difference. Declining does not close any door.

Every message Julie sends carries a way to stop receiving them.

The access cookie

Once you enter the Suite, your browser is given a small signed cookie so you are not asked to sign up again on your next visit. It holds your email address and an expiry date, signed so it cannot be altered. It lasts one year.

It is set to httpOnly, which means scripts on the page cannot read it. It is not used for advertising, and it is not shared with anyone.

If you clear it, or arrive on a different device, you will be asked to sign in again. You will not be asked to sign up again.

What we never do

We do not sell your address. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to a data broker.

We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Asking us to forget you

Write to julie@risingphoenix.life and ask. We will remove your record. You do not have to give a reason.
