Live and Die Awake

What the Soul Knows

A letter from Stone Harbor · October 2, 2026

October 4, 2026

Where I was walking when this came through.

At the end of the day, we are love. Love exists inside each one of us. And how we express love to another is all we have and is all we leave with. It’s what’s left behind to those we love when we pass on. Not the identities we built. Not the resentments. Not the regrets. Love and only love is whatremains.

I’m blessed to be in a sanctuary of a place I deeply call home. And I think it’s such an important lesson for us: what makes home? Is it family? Friends? Connections to loved ones in this world, and those who have passed?

I’ve been in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, for a few weeks, doing my meditations. And it’s amazing my late husband has shown up in so many different ways. People can say whatever they want to say, but it is so real. I have a meditation I’ll share when I release my book, and in it, he is evidently present.

What would it be, at the end of life, if people really knew the impermanence

of this life? How would we treat one another?

If we knew we’re only souls are energy not these identities we’ve created, not these cultures or religions (which, yes, deserve to be respected) we would return to the one thing we always were.
